The NDSA Student Award Symposium is an opportunity for students to present their work to a curated panel of industry experts and leaders.
The goal is for the NDSA to provide students of architecture (RIBA accredited courses) and recent graduates with advanced added value feedback, relevant professional insights and networking opportunities.
What are the NDSA looking for
Winning students to present their buildable, values grounded designs orientated around Spatial Justice.
Who will the successful students present to
The successful entrants will present to a curated external guest panel of industry professionals assembled by the NDSA. Individuals and groups from the broader architecture profession are also invited to attend.
Presentations will take place on the large screen at Binks Yard at Nottingham's Island Quarter and the event will be professionally recorded. A recording of each student presentation will be uploaded to the NDSA website and YouTube channel.
Networking
Professionals from Architecture, Engineering, Planning and other disciplines will be invited to attend and watch the presentations.
Upon completion of the presentations the event will be opened up to Networking. All guests will be encouraged to participate in conversation, exchange debate and contact or social details (e.g. LinkedIn) with students and others. The aim of the event is to further winning students connections within the industry.
The NDSA are providing the students with a platform to showcase their work alongside a forum to further their professional network.
Attendees
This event will be open to all students of architecture from Nottingham's two universities. It will also be open to all academics and practitioners. Friends and family welcome in addition to those from outside of the profession. Persons wishing to consider a career in architecture are encouraged to come along and see examples of good work.
Funding from the RIBA has been secured to support the delivery of this event.
