The NDSA welcome Amir Sanei and Abigail Hopkins of Sanei + Hopkins Architects.
They join us to talk about a Private residential scheme called Contour House in the Peak District. Contour House is a reinterpretation of the 1960s bungalow vernacular, fashioned along the topography of a Derbyshire hillside, a stones throw form the world famous Chatsworth House.
The use of traditional local material such as stone for walls and roofs in a contemporary way really sets the building in its landscape whilst taking advantage of the view out for the inhabitants.
We very much look forward to hearing in intricate detail how this building is put together and the sustainable systems it employs. We hope you are able to come along and join us to hear the thesis on how contemporary architecture such as this can work within a national park.
