NDSA Site Visit to Moorways Aquatics Centre

On Thursday 14th October the NDSA visited the Moorways Aquatics Centre in Derby.

A tour of the site was facilitated by Bowmer + Kirkland’s Jonathan Gisbourne and included a detailed description of works by Faulkner Brown Architects.

Michael Hall, Partner at Faulkner Brown, along with colleagues Adam Dalby (Project Architect) and Jonathan Coatsworth (Senior Architectural Technician) gave a detailed insight into the building’s design challenges and encouraged questions from the group throughout the building tour.

The group were also joined by Claire Davenport, Director of Leisure and Culture at Derby City Council, who provided an insight into the client’s social and economic aspirations for the building.
